Ladies Lets Add Our Pics!!

Come on girls. I've got friends on momzoo who aren't adding their pictures to their profiles. I just put a bunch of pics up today, mostly of my children. But all I'm saying is lets have that one profile pic so we really feel like a community. Use avatars, graphic pics, whatever you are comfortable with. As long as it represents you, that's all that matters! Let's do it!

Anybody have good Father's Day gift ideas?

Today is the first official Saturday of my Summer! The kids are out of school, that's how I count the beginning of summer. I am enjoying my time with children, we have so many fun things planned. After my husband left for work this morning, my oldest daughter and I began working on homemade fathers day gifts.
I know father's day is still a couple of Sundays away, but I've been with my husband 12 years now and I never really know what a good gift for him is. Here is a question I am asking especially of SAHM's: what do you give a man who is the sole breadwinner and therefore can buy anything he wants for himself?

School is Over.....ready for summer camp

Yesterday was the last day of school for my daughter. She finished kindergarten. Yay, no more getting up at 7:00 in the morning!
Yeah right, I still got up at 7 just because my body is used to it. Well, she better enjoy her next couple days of freedom because she's enrolled in a summer swimming camp that starts next Monday. Well at least she doesn't have to get up until 8:00 a.m.
Ugh! I feel caught in between being glad that school is over and being anxious for summer camp to start.....when did this happen?

Mommy Under Pressure

Since when is it okay to insult newborns. My youngest will be 9 months old soon, but i just can't let go of something. Both of my daughters were born via induced labor. My OB/GYN did not induce either of them too early or anything dangerous like that. My sister in law does not agree with my decision to induce and has been quite verbal about it. But I believe she was crossing the line when she walked into my hospital room hours after I gave birth, walked right up to my daughter and said right to her face "You don't know what's going on, you're not even supposed to be here!"
Maybe she thought it was cute because she did it in a sing-songy voice. But I was disgusted. Neither her husband nor mine, both of whom were there, said a word. I've tried to let it go, but sometimes I want to just say, if you have a problem with my decision, let me know, but keep my kids out of it. Is that wrong?
